One Delta
Safer neighbourhoods start with safer streets.
Dylan Kruger and One Delta will introduce a 30 km/h speed limit on residential streets, helping make our neighbourhoods safer for children and pedestrians of all ages.
It’s time for One Delta.
Transcript
"Keeping our streets safe is one of the most basic jobs of any city. You should feel safe walking your neighborhood and your kids should be able to play outside without worrying about speeding cars.
Right now, in too many parts of Delta, vehicles are simply moving too fast. We know that when speeds go up, the risk of serious injury goes up, too. That's why one Delta is committed to setting the speed limit on residential streets at 30 km an hour.
Slower speeds give drivers more time to react and help keep everyone safer. We'll also make sure Delta police have the tools they need to enforce the limit. It's time to focus on the basics, and there's no better place to start than keeping neighborhoods safe."
